Infusion with lemon, ginger root and Saffron threads with saffron


  • Ingredients for 4 cups
  • ----------
  • 6-8 Fresh ginger root
  • Lemon zest
  • 0,2 g Saffron threads
  • 4 Cups of water
  • sweetener of choice

Cut the ginger root in 6-8 thin slices

Preprare 1 spoonful of lemon zest, leaving the pith on the fruit. The white pith will give your infusion a bitter under taste

Add water, lemon zest and ginger in the same pot and bring to a boil. Let simmer for  3-4 minutes on low heat, keep the lid on!

Turn off the heat, add the Saffron threads, cover and allow the threads to steep for 10 mins

Add sweetener if desired, to taste

Your infusion is ready, you can serve it as it is or strain it and serve
